In 2004, Rhonda Steger, an experienced business owner, needed to make some home improvements.  During the process of hiring and managing multiple companies to perform the work, she recognized the value that a contractor referral service could provide, and thus Splendid Source was born.  Shortly thereafter, Rhonda became a pioneer in the Fayette business community. She combined her knowledge of improvements needed to prepare a home for sale with her background and passion for interior decorating, to create the first ever full-service home staging offering in the community.

By the end of 2004, the demand for Splendid Source Interiors work required that the business grow.  Jennifer McMenamin, who has a background in real estate marketing, joined Rhonda, and they purchased $100,000 worth of furnishings inventory to meet the need of staging vacant homes.

In 2005, Marty Steger joined the company to manage the business aspects so that Rhonda could focus more on building customer relationships.  This turned out to be a smart move, as Splendid Source Interiors became the exclusive Home Staging partner to The Home Source Realtors later that year.

Always pushing the envelope, Rhonda opened the first ever independent Design Center in early 2006 in Fayetteville, to serve as a resource for local builders and decorating clients.
